Overview: Trout and smallmouth bass fishing can be very good at this southern Utah reservoir. It is managed for trophy trout and produces large fish some years. The park at the reservoir has a sanded beach, a concrete public boat ramp, a 29 unit campground, flush toilets, hot showers, and picnic areas.

Location: From Beaver, travel southwest on Hwy 21 for 17 miles. Turn right into Minersville Park.

Primary Fish Species: Rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and smallmouth bass. Special Regulations: Artificial flies and lures only, with a limit of one trout, which must be over 22 inches. Scented jigs are not allowed.

Seasonal Factors: Better fishing in the spring and fall, when the fish come into the shallows to feed.

Fishing Tips: Float tubes are useful here. Crayfish imitations take trout and bass. Woolly bugger are popular with the fly fishers.
