The weather has been so nice, I was tempted to do yard work. Happily, I was able to suppress that impulse. Unfortunately, I've been too busy to go fishing.
Grand Circle
I'm just finishing website development work for www.grandcircle.org. The Grand Circle Association promotes travel/tourism to the southwest US. I've built them a new website, much improved appearance and functionality. I gave them a content management system so they can add their own info. I gave them some fun capacities. They will have a great site if they fill it with good information.
Strawberry
I'm scheduled to go to Strawberry this weekend. The newspapers have shown photos of very big fish caught recently at The 'Berry, and we've heard reports of other good action. It sounds like fishing is a good from shore as it is from boats. Not everyone is catching big fish - you've got to be in the right spot at the right time - but most reports are very positive.
Lake Powell
I've been surprised that very good reports are still coming from Lake Powell. Click the links under interesting posts for more information.

Brown trout are spawning in our streams. Please leave the spawning fish alone so they can propagate their species. Be careful if you wade - don't tromp through their nests. Action can be good fishing egg patterns below the spawning fish.
Strawberry has produced incredible action recently, including this big cutthroat. Anglers are catching fish on minnow-imitating lures and jigs. Minnows and other baits also work well. Some people tip lures or jigs with minnow parts.
Other trout reservoirs also offer good fishing.
Flaming Gorge lake trout are spawning and fishing is good. Macks are also spawning at Bear Lake and Fish Lake, and fishing is good at both those waters. Check the proclamation to be sure you understand the special regulations in effect this time of year.
Lake Powell striper fishing remains very good in upper lake areas. We're hearing great reports from the San Juan arm and good reports from the Hite area.
