The dirt Road underdeveloped & large loads will have a rough road. Very difficult driving during wet weather, but accessible still during mild. To get to the campground from Pinedale: take US 191
west for 1/2 mile. You see Willow Lake Rd, go 8 1/2 miles north. Then follow
Forest Route 751 west for a little over a mile. Primary Species (Edit This) Special Regulations (Edit This) Seasonal Factors (Edit This) In early Spring the fishing will be great. Flies are hatching & the fish are in a feeding-frenzy. Fishing is also great in late fall- the tail end of August, September and even October before it gets too cold. July and August (and even the end of June) are the months that fishing can get slow. The early mornings and late evenings are when fisherman will have the most success. Lures and Techniques (Edit This) An almost sure way to catch a fish is to use a trolling motor in your fishing boat. Troll slowly, letting your line out, and then reel back in. Troll along rocky areas, marshes, or the deep places in the lake. Many fisherman report that live bait has been their most successful line. Flyfishing is also successful on Willow and many fisherman just wade in about 20 feet, or take a tube and cast away. Copyright RedRockAdventure.com |
