What's New
This winter has been cold - the coldest I remember for many years. But we've survived the coldest part. Average temperatures will now slowly start to climb, and each day will be a tiny bit longer. Here's hoping for an early, warm spring.

This weekend I'll be exploring and fishing the mighty Colorado in the top of the Grand Canyon. I'll also search out a hidden panel of ancient Native American rock art. Should be a fun trip. Details.

Book Trips Now
Now's the time to book summer trips. Group campgrounds fill up quickly so book immediately if you want one. You can book many State Park and Forest Service campgrounds here.

Best Deal Ever On Lake Powell Houseboats
You can get 50% off houseboat rentals if you book right now. Lake Powell Resorts and Marinas is calling it their best deal ever. You've got to book by 1/18/10. Details.

Beaver Creek Lodge is my top choice for:
- Bear Lake Area Snowmobiling
- Bear Lake Area Horseback Riding
- Bear Lake Area Family Reunions
Beaver Creek is a top-notch operation. I know the people and their facilities. They buy an entire fleet of brand new top-of-the-line snowmobiles ever season.
