Fishing Overview
REI Winter Clearance, Save 25-35% Feb. 8-18th
All this snow is making fishing difficult. Even ice fishing is tough right now. The deep snow is hard to get through, but it also puts weight on the ice, pushing it down, so water floods over the ice and creates slush. There is slush everywhere. Snowmobiles and four-wheelers are getting bogged down.

Hiking conditions will be perfect in southern Utah this weekend. St George will be mostly sunny and temps will reach the mid 50s. Moab will be in the low 40s. I'm heading for Snow - Snow Canyon that is - to enjoy sunshine and sand.

All the water stored in this snow has got to come down sooner or later - down the rivers. Whitewater rafting conditions will be excellent in late spring and summer, perhaps the best in several years. Now's the time to book trips to get the best dates. I've been making video clips promoting river trips. Here's one of my most recent, for World Wide River Expeditions.
